Show Your Wounds

John 19:20 KJV
19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the LORD.
Jesus showed the disciples his wounds. i.e. (nail prints in his hand & piercing in his side) Jesus shared his story but what’s your story? What’s up with you? What have you been through? How long did it take you to get to where you are today? How many hurdles did you have to jump? How many times have you been stabbed in the back by somebody you thought was in your corner? Look at you now, you made it anyhow.
Isn’t funny how people can look at your life on the outside and think they know all your business and don’t have a clue of what you’ve gone through? How you had to study throughout the night to finish school. Work two or three jobs to make ends meet. How you had to start your business off paying your employers but not seeing profit. (RETURN ON INVESTMENT)
The problem in a lot of ministries is we have too many self righteous people “holy than thou” nobody wants to share their story. We act as if we were born SAVED…. The bible says over in Revelations 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; It’s been said that the church is not a museum of perfect people but rather a hospital where injured souls unite to recover and be HEALED. Everything you’ve been through in your life counts for something. Our word for the week is “Show your wounds” Tell your story.
